Analysis of Plankton Samples from the Deepwater Horizon Damage Assessment
The main project our lab is currently engaged in is the analysis of plankton samples collected during and after the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill to investigate the potential impacts of the spill. We are using Zooscan instruments to create a digital archive of the samples and we are using automated image analysis techniques to analyze the images.
