Pictures from Ocean Commotion 2013

Ocean Commotion was a great success this year. This year our Lab's exhibit informed students of the importance, diversity, and ways to study plankton communities. They were able to observe live phytoplankton through a Flowcam, and preserved zooplankton on a microscope and computer screen. They were also able to view real 3-D video footage of creatures living at the bottom of the ocean. In addition, we had a life-size model and video of the longest bony fish in the world – the Oarfish. Here are some pictures from our exhibit, Plankton: The Gumbo of the Seas...
